Our Commitment to Laboratory Safety

Safety of students, researchers, and visitors is a top priority in the Structural Engineering Laboratory. The lab houses advanced testing systems and instrumentation that require proper handling and adherence to safety procedures.

All users must understand experimental risks before operating equipment, especially during high-load testing, electrical operations, and use of specialized systems.

Laboratory Safety

Basic Safety Practices

Fundamental protocols that all users must adhere to within the facility:

  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Handling equipment with care and precision
  • Reporting any hazards or risks immediately

Training & Operation

Training & Certification

Mandatory requirements before accessing any laboratory equipment:

Complete mandatory safety training covering laboratory practices and hazard awareness.

Equipment-specific training provided by technical staff, including safe operation and sensor usage.

Access is granted only after successful certification.
